A letter from May 25th, 2021

Dear future Eduardo in 2026... Right now, you must be very enthusiastic and excited to be ready to work, that if everything went as we planned, you finished college and graduated with no major problems in Tecnológico de Monterrey, you learned a lot and maybe you even got a girlfriend. We have always imagined work as something to enjoy haven we? that’s why I know you did everything you had to graduate and finally get a job at some company, you must have acquired a lot of experience and master your instincts in business, you must have a lot to give to the world and I know you’ll give your best. Now here’s the message, please remember that hate and resentment doesn’t lead anywhere, now I’m not saying that you should be friends with everybody, we have learned over the years that that’s impossible, but please just let things go, remember that everything, even the slightest insignificant action that happens in life has a reason that may or may not reveal itself for a long time, disturbing people will always exist, tragedies will never cease but you have to stay positive because your will will be what defines you, what you will become and how far you will ever get. At the moment this is being written is 25 of May of 2021, do you remember how a crazy year 2020 was? I hope it got better, I bet it did, we have always dream big but reasonable. We stayed in quarantine over a year and a half, and it’s been good I guess, other people, friends, have had it way rougher than me, and I am grateful for that, some of our family got infected but nothing went too far thank God. School was merely good, but we lost our last year of high school and you and I know that we had great plans for that year, we were going to change things, make a difference, or learn a lesson about school corporate… It’s a real tragedy what happened with all this COVID-19 thing, but, as I said before you must stay positive, be happy and don’t let others make your day darker, because there’ll be bad days, but it’s just that, bad days not a bad life. I hope you have an even stronger will and better judgment to be more decisive. May we meet again my friend…
