A letter from May 24th, 2021

Time Travelling — over 4 years

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, How are you doing? Right now it is May 24, 2021 and we are in the middle of a global pandemic. It's been a tough year but hopefully things will be back to normal soon. I am 14 years old and in eighth grade. I am doing online school which really isn't that bad. I think I only have 3 weeks left before summer! I can't wait! You will be reading this on your 19th birthday. Happy Birthday! Make a good wish. I hope that you got into your dream school and that you have people in your life that bring you joy. I hope that you are happy and you are doing something that you love. It is 12:04 on a Monday afternoon. I finished my history and dance class zoom meeting, and I just ate a slice of cheese pizza and Simply lemonade for lunch. Now I am writing to you, my future self, for an english extra credit assignment. I wish I could talk to you for just a few minutes, just to have a little bit of reassurance that my life in 5 years will be alright. Here are a few things about your 14 year-old self: my favorite musician is Taylor Swift, my favorite food is sushi, I play tennis almost everyday, and I love shopping! Yesterday I hung out with my best friend, we went shopping and had lunch....I hope you still know her. Life is pretty great right now, I hope it is for you too. I am proud of you. See you in 5 years. xoxo, S
