Time Travelling — almost 5 years

Peaceful right?

Dear ME, So, uh, hi future me! I did this already, um, like a few weeks ago with my friend that you will have received when you were like 14 and then another one I did that you received only 2 years ago I believe. This is going to be interesting to write this out because I am actually recording this on a voice memo and then writing it out to myself because I get my thoughts out better by speaking to myself and writing it out on page just makes it so much more strict, much more confined and the idea is just *pause* it's not stuck on a page it's not rewritten and fixed up and all perfect it's just slapped together to make one point though but it's not perfect 'cause it's me! I think the thing that I like about me is that I am a combination of the two, a song and a book, it can be slapped together and fun and crazy and doesn't really matter gets the point across but then again it is perfected throughout the stages of writing the song where the lines are written out perfectly to tell this perfect story that rhymes every single time or is sung to a specific theme or rhythm but it's not as perfect as a book. Even though the characters of a book might not be perfect I think that's also what I like about reading books is, the characters are perfect but the words are. You've gone out and already done all the things you can do when you have a car at 16 years old...well now 18 *pause* you've already graduated, huh, I didn't even think about that! Weeelll, happy graduation I guess? Well, very late happy graduation. I feel like I'm going to be writing this out as though it's a book (future me here from like 10 minutes in the future. Not a book...but a good idea for one!) but it is kind of the opposite of a book, it's purposely scrambled together but it's written out to explain how I'm thinking, well I guess speaking in this case. I just thought about that, I actually might keep this voice memo so when you read this you can listen along so I guess since I'm writing this out, um, check your phone! See if it's there I might not have kept it, I might have idk. So, questions (future me again! Hey! Hello! So, hello world! parts of this will be more edited than others just because I explained these questions to myself in such an unnecessarily long way, so here are just the overall questions. Also, congrats if you've made it this far, sorry I ramble, just thought it was a cool idea.) 1. What phone do you have? I just thought about the fact that there might be an iPhone 20 when you're seeing this. Wow. I currently have the iPhone SE, I know it sounds old...it is NOT, it's a combination of the look of the 6 but has some of the iPhone 11 things. Let's ask high school/graduating questions! 2. Morals! Do you still hate mom and dad? I feel like the fact that they are (something I'm not going to mention:) ) isn't going to have changed. Someone in the world is probably reading this and thinking I'm insane. Do I care? No. Continuing 3. Are you still bi? Have you had your first date yet and who with? Who are you with now? If you have fallen in love with someone whether or not, that's fine too! 4. What did your GPA end up beginning? Right now algebra is a pain. THAT'S ANOTHER QUESTION! Did I pass algebra? because right now finals are coming up and if I fail I'm not passing 5. Did you continue doing volleyball or did you end up sticking with lacrosse? I know the one reason I want to do lacrosse is that dad doesn't know how to play or anything so that's less pressure. 6. What classes did you finish in? 7. Do you know what you want to be next year? There are so many options I've been thinking about. I don't think you've decided on dance because you can't do a split to save your life. Probably not a vet because as future me would agree, I've already spent 12 years or more of my life learning pointless things I don't want to spend another 8 thank you. ( not trying to be mean to anyone who wants to be a veterinarian. Cool job if you enjoy it just not for me...I hate school with a passion. (( also not being mean to teachers, love yall for teaching me and most of you are nice and love your job but brain+homework=a C in the grade books)) 8. Do you still have the same friends? I'm not going to mention their names because I mean, Hello WORLD, emphasis on WORLD. If you don't know who I'm talking about because the brain goes BRR then just look at the letter from when you were 14 and that will give you answers. 9. PROM! What did wear?! Who did you go with?! Friends or a spouse?! Did you were an 1800s dress and did the light brown hair girl keep her promise and do your dresses? Also, have you worn a tux yet because I want to know if I am **** in a tux? 10. Did you go to the same college as everyone else in the family and not because dad went there but because you wanted to? Extras -Did you finish school playing the clarinet because you loved it? You still live in the same house? Are you still friends with the girl in the neighborhood and did she finish school being on the volleyball team? -GOD this paper is going to be long(future me AGAIN, yes IT IS!), now I'm rambling. Has your childhood best friend talked to you again? Did your life get busier when you got a car or before then (other than homework)? COVID-19 is fine for the world-kinda of- now! How is it in your timeline? Anyway, have a day! See you on the flip side! (ever thought about the fact that if I die before I see this I could die and one of my family's children could be reading this instead and crying?)
