A letter from May 23rd, 2021

Time Travelled — almost 5 years

Peaceful right?

Dear Future Me, So, things have changed quite a bit for you recently. You broke up with your boyfriend in March 2020 and promised yourself that 2021 would be just for you and you wouldn't get a boyfriend. This was because you realized that you have awful commitment issues from a guy who broke your heart even though you never even dated him. That promise you made to yourself didn't even last 1 day, by 10 o'clock on the 1st of January 2021 you had a boyfriend, congrats. This guy is also your ex-boyfriend from year 8, whoops. You've now been dating him for almost 5 months, which is the longest you have been able to commit since your heart got broken. The only issue is, is that his best friend is the guy who broke your heart. I also don't think he know that you used to love him. That doesn't matter though because he is perfect, he is considerate and patient and kind and loyal. Aside from boy troubles, you are also one week away from finishing year 11 and starting a three month long holiday. Exams were weird this year, you have just had two months of extremely stressful exams, sorry to remind you. However, you think you did really good on your maths papers, so hopefully that ends up good, but I guess you already know. Right now, you are on season 10 of Grey's Anatomy, which is kind of a slow season but who knows if it will get better, again I guess you do. You've been listening to One Direction and Little Mix more after you re-kindled your obsession in 2019 which has been an emotional roller coaster. Life has been pretty alright for you, I was going to write great then realized that sometimes life can be **** so decided against it. You and your best friends are planning to meet up more when Lock down ends. Oh yeah, Corona Virus, but I guess you probably still remember that. Covid-19 wasn't such a big deal for you when it first started but now that you have exams and a boyfriend, it kinda seems to be getting in the way. It also has been making you a lot more socially awkward which definitely was not necessary. Also remember, to spell necessary, just remember it is necessary to have one collar and two sleeves to make a shirt. One C and two S's. It's been 5 years, you are now 21, please tell me you can tell your lefts and rights. Quick Fire Questions: Have you crashed a car yet? Have you had *** yet? Are you still with specific current boyfriend? Do you still talk to your friends? What is it like being able to drink in America? Have you traveled out of the UK? Have you been to Italy and eaten Lasange? Okay, that's all I can think of. So, ummmm, please don't die in a car crash before you can read this. Much appreciated. From, Past You
