Time Travelled — almost 5 years

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, Letter to My Future Self By Will Phillips Hey Will, this is you from the past. I am writing to you in the future! Right now, I am finishing up all my schoolwork. I am so close to graduation and am very excited for it. On the other hand, I am a little nervous about it. I can't quite pinpoint exactly why I am nervous for graduation, but I just can't get rid of the feeling. I am hoping that navy boot camp goes smoothly without any major problems. Same thing with tech school. I am looking forward to bootcamp to be honest. It seems like it will be somewhat fun. I have been studying for bootcamp hoping that you get some awards or recognitions during it. All this effort better not go to waste. I am more than sure that you were assigned as element leader or guidon. Or maybe graduated in the top 10 percent? That would be great! Hopefully you are finished with your four-year contract by now. I am sure you enjoyed your Avionics job and or any other rate you might have gotten switched too. I hope you took advantage of that free college opportunity. Maybe engineering or biology classes? Becoming a taxonomist sounds cool not going to lie. I bet you have had enough of the navy by then. I am sure that you have locked in a career by now. Whether it be working for Boeing, Nasa, or even continuing with biology and working as a scientist. Maybe you are not tired of the navy yet and you have decided to reenlist. I would not blame you though. Those reenlistment bonuses are no joke. I hope you are starting to plan for a family by then. That’s most definitely my biggest dream right now and hopefully it still is yours. Wherever you are or whatever you are doing, I'm sure you're doing great. I'm excited to see how far you’ve gotten. See you soon! -Will Phillips 21’
