Dear FutureMe,
I hope you are doing well, yet this message is anonymous and whoever find it, I am an Iraqi doctor who is in his 3rd year in Anesthesia and Intensive Care Residency program / Iraqi Board. Today is May 21st and this count day 9 of myself isolation here in London where I am going to attend a regional anesthesia course in this covid time. Last year was so tough, we lost so many because of covid - is it still there? But this year 2021, vaccines became available and encouragement to take the vaccine, and I did take two shots of Pfizer vaccine in Iraq prior to my arrival to UK.
I haven't seen London well, only in my room quarantine myself especially after the fourth day when I got traced as a contact because someone in the plane got covid, so NHS warned me to stay for 10 days and I am doing it.
My course is only three days starting May 26th - May 28th. Will you do it if you were me, spending lots of money just to learn? Not to mention how many times flights were canceled and dealing with travel agency and refunds were not issued?
I am wondering in 5 years what will I be, did I became a good Anesthesia, did I find a job here in UK and passed my FRCA?
I am hoping, I am!
Let us see,
Wish me luck
