A letter from May 18th, 2021

Dear FutureMe, Hi me :) I wrote some letters to myself yesterday, but I saw a tiktok with some cool ideas that I could write about myself to reflect on when I open this, and write how I feel about each idea then. What would your dream life look like in 5 years? Well, in 5 years I will be 24 years old. That's kinda crazy. You are almost half way through your twenties? yikes lol. anyways, my dream life would be living the music dream, having released albums and music videos and going on tours and have amazing fans and all, if not then definitely on a clear path to it. You would have graduated music college and I hope it really payed off :) I will be long friends with belinda/neo/pheonix, clara and laura and hopefully have kept touch with all my uni friends too. I will be successful in the music I have released and done and, I should take that leap of faith - I'll know what this means when I read it. Also my singing will be AMAZING! and guitar playing too i hope haha. I will be in a healthy, happy, exciting long relationship with my boyfriend. Whoever this mystery guy is. Advice and my morals right now, boys are boys they are dumb and stupid and you are AMAZING. You do NOT need a boy or anyone in fact to complete your ***. Okay? Even if things are going great with him, still remember you have your own life outside of this relationship and your own life and goals and dreams that YOU want to achieve for yourself. Where would you love to travel one day? Where have you travelled since writing this letter? Well, covid is taking over the world right now, so i doubt I would have gone far tbh. Id love to travel to japan, korea, canada, norway and europe in general. Things I love about myself <3 I have lots of insecurities :( but, I love: My eyes, my long brown hair, my hourglass waist, my high cheekbones, my humour, my uniqueness, my creativity, my kindness and loyalty, my smile, my freckles, my cheeks, my kind of dimples, my willingness to listen. I can't brainstorm very well haha. Probably some other things. My current hobbies I like playing and listening to music, hanging with friends, painting, flower pressing, crafting, watching youtube or movies. Skills/Hobbies I want to try I keep trying to learn languages, I'm pretty good at learning them but they always end up not getting far because I believe you only truely improve at a language, and quickly, by being in a place that speaks the language. Very hard to learn without being in the country it speaks haha. I'd love to get a little better at painting/drawing? who doesn't haha I'd love to learn some more instruments if I have the money or time, add it to my multi-instrumentalist. What makes me happy? music, friends, family. Making music that expresses exactly how I'm feeling without having to try and explain it. Laughing and crying over some dumb joke with a friend, that will probably remain an inside joke for the next couple months or even year. saying i love you. having those moments where you are like "wow, i exist and this is my life :)", feeling like I belong. Who/what inspires me? Ariana grande is my fave person for like inspiration with work ethic, strength, qualities of herself, how she sees things, idk how to explain it. (Also omg by now I can't even imagine the music she has made by now! actually she got married on the weekend in secret :0 ) What can't you live without? Love, my phone (i know, its bad), music, creativity or a way of expressing myself, and a **** comfortable big bed. What scares you? Not being successful in music, falling behind everyone else. Watching all my friends at uni grow to be amazing musicians while i end up going absolutely nowhere far, being left behind and a failure, as well as in personal life with friends and relationships, watching my friends experience these great amazing things and having a boyfriend or fiancé etc or even kids tf what and ill be single and have had no experiences :/ idk (even though I don't want kids till i'm like 28 or 30 or smth. Random facts Did you know that by the time you read this it would have been 10 years since year 8, buzz cut phase? ****... By the time you read this, dad will be... 60?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mum will be ALMOST 60?!!!! 58 :0 Jamie will be well into her 30's... 32? Sarah will be almost 30?!!!! she will be 28 lol Brooke will be 26?!! How is poppy? tiggy? the fam? It's been a year since nan passed <3 You will have graduated highschool 6 years ago :00 Random questions: Do I have any tattoos or anymore piercings? If so what are they? Do you plan to get anymore? (current me answering): No tattoos, 2 earlobe piercings. I am thinking of getting some small musical notes behind an ear, and i want a ribcage tattoo. What is your current hairstyle? Long, natural, brown hair with fringe. What perfume do you wear? Any ariana perfume. My fave is sweet like candy or ari. What iPhone do you own? or did you switch? I currently have the iPhone 11. purple! Current social media apps you use: Snapchat, Instagram , kind of Facebook, i love pinterest. Who do you listen to? At the moment, ariana grande, mac miller, H.E.R, Daniel caesar, giveon, shawn mendes, tori kelly, destinys child, doja cat, sza, bruno mars etc. my fave genre is RNB When I epilogue this, I can and will write extra questions that i would like to answer. To my future self reading this, what is some advice you would give your past self, writing this letter at 18/19 rn? --? Last little journal about my life right now: Just finished first tri of music uni, in a confusing long distance 'relationship' with ethan, besties with laura, clara, belinda/neo/pheonix, about to turn 19, still have never kissed anyone LOL, um, i'm addicted to my phone and the earth is slowly dying. okay, till you read this, bye :) -YOU 18/05/2021 *mum's 53rd bday :) we just came back from her bday dinner <3*
