Dear FutureMe,
It's YOU! But in the past... It's VINTAGE YOU! I'm currently 16 years old, with the mind of a 12 year old. Mature, but not nearly mature enough.
I'm standing up at my computer writing this after I've just gotten out of the shower. So, completely nude, if that tells you anything about my maturity. Well, in some people's eyes, being nude is the ultimate act of maturity. It all depends on how you look at it. In my opinion, as of right now, being nude is amazing. We were born without any clothes on, so why wear any now? The only negative thing about this is that Ho... um, your neighbor... is having an open-house. Which means people are walking by the windows. Um... let me go close them right now...
Anyway, I'm getting off topic. I just want you to know that..... well, I want to let you know a few things actually.
Number one: Don't worry about what other people think about you. I guess I'm writing this as a reminder for the current me. In 5 years, you'll be 21. Hopefully you don't care at that time. Hopefully you've outgrown your awkward and anti-social ways of life. I don't know if that was the right 'your'. There's a red line under it. But whatever. **** red lines, am I right? That brings me to another point.
Number two: These teenage/young adult years are supposedly the best ones in our life. Now, I can sense that mine's about to get a lot better. I just applied to two different jobs. I probably shouldn't say which ones in case someone who's doing the hiring sees this and declines my application all because I said I'm naked. Oops.
I also just got my driver's permit. Just a couple days ago. Now by November, I'll be able to get my LICENSE. You know what means. Driving to friends' houses to pick them up and driving to all of these cool places where we hang out. Do you remember the places? The tunnels are just a walk away from our neighborhood, but what about the cemetery? Well, I guess that's a walk away too. But what about the railroad tracks? Man, those are the best. Literally, SO FUN!! And now I can drive to thrift shops and to bubble tea stores by myself. I'm SO EXCITED!!
Now, what I was saying about "**** red lines...", all I mean by that is to not give a flying **** about rules and **** like that. Now, I know you're older and probably more mature... but just HAVE FUN!! TAKE RISKS!! Sometimes taking risks is the best way to figure out things about yourself and to live a life worth bragging about. By the time I get to the age of 60, I want to have lived the COOLEST and MOST EXCITING life possible. Just remember Chaoscore. You know, the aesthetic? You were OBSESSED with that. With the lifestyle, the mannerisms, and everything. Hell, maybe you still ARE obsessed with it.
The only advice I have for you, is that if you haven't lived the coolest possible life in the past 5 years, then START RIGHT NOW! Start being a RISK TAKER. Start being.... well, FUN! Okay? Just be fun.
Now, I only have some questions to ask. I've realized that some people use this website as TO-DO Lists or Free Therapy Sessions. But I'm going to use it like it's meant to be used. As a letter to yourself in the future. Literally just to communicate somehow with yourself in the future. So, asking these questions satisfies me, even though I won't hear the answer. I'll KNOW the answers though,... in 5 years...
1. What have you been up to in these past 5 years?
2. What did you do after you graduated high school? Did you go travel everywhere around the world with some friends in a hippie van like you wanted to? If not, why not?
3. Are you in college? If so, what college do you go to and what are you studying? If you're not currently in college, are you going to go? Do you know what school? I know that I wanted to go to an art school to be a self-employed painter. Is that still your plan?
4. This is a dumb one... but for me, it's important. Are you single? If you answered yes, then I'm sorry. Maybe we're just not meant to be in relationships. But if you somehow answered no.... then WHO ARE YOU DATING?? Is it a girl or a boy? PLEASEE tell me it's a girl... Boys are wack as *******. Whatever, relationships don't matter though.
I only have one more question. This is my last question because best for last, you know? Dude I love this one because, well.... I love Bailey, haha...
5. Hows she doing? Give her lots of bear hugs for me. Right now, Bailey's the only thing that's helping me cope in life... A real life saver, for sure. So yea, How IS Bailey???
I realized that by asking about Bailey, or BAYHLEH, as Mom likes to call her, anyone who knew me might be able to figure out who this is. But I don't even know if anyone's going to read this. (I'm writing this on a Future Me website and I clicked 'Make this letter public, but anonymous'. This makes me wonder if there's going to be a gallery of all the letters people have written. I'm not sure. Also, I used to write future-me letters so that they make sense to ME currently, but now I'm writing them so that they make sense to YOU. That's why I explained all that.)
Mom just talked to me and now I completely forgot what I'm going to say. Typical. That she always wants to be in my business AND that I forget everything.
Okay, I've spent WAY too long writing this. I need to stop and get ready for the Dinner Party. It's Mother's Day tomorrow! Okay, so I take back what I said about Mom. Only for this weekend. All opinions of her are replaced back in my mind on Monday.
AAAAANYWAY..... I HAVE TO GO... I LOVE YOU MORE THAT LIFE ITSELF (OUR NAME)!!!
LOVE,
YOUR STUPID *** FUTURE SELF!!!!
(Ps... if there were any spelling or grammar errors in this... **** it.)
