Time Travelled — about 5 years

Peaceful right?

Dear Future Me, I just wanted to let you know that I made it through college alive and am now pursuing my bachelor's degree at university. You're single and about to graduate from university and enroll at UT. Wow, the time has flown by, and all I can say is that I am thankful to everyone and everything. Ok, I was such a different person five years ago than I am now, and I feel like I'm improving every year as I learn more about myself. Back then, my obsessions were shown as to how I looked, but I believe that in the future, it will be my studies and how I will achieve my dream. But if there's anything I adore, it's perfumed. I've loved scents since I was a teenager. Let's talk about fears for a moment. I'm still up for a challenge, but it's heights that I'd like to put to the test in the future, whether it's falling from a great height or parachuting with a special someone. My hope is that being honest would make my family proud, especially my parents. They traveled all the way from Pakistan to provide us with a suitable life and education, leaving everything behind, which I greatly appreciate, and now it is my turn to make amends and make them proud. When I'm a dentist and settled in life, my first patients will be my father and mother, because, let's face it, they'll need it. Parents in brown families do not believe in dentists and believe that their children do not need them, but I will not allow this to happen when I hopefully have them. My dream is to get my first paycheck and hand it all over to my father, proving to him that I did it and that it's all yours because they always did it for us as kids and know it's out-turn their babies. A dream I have is to travel with my family and nothing else, and in the future, I hope to be married in about ten years, to someone nice. I'd like to find someone who can understand me without me having to say something, who respects women and loves me, and who prioritizes confidence. I am unconcerned about my appearance. I mean, it's a bonus point that I won't mind, but personally, I believe that personality is more important than appearances. Appearances change as you age, but personality does not. In the future, I would like to live in America or Los Angeles and get married in Pakistan or America. In five years, I intend to finish my Bachelor's degree in chemistry or biology and move to UT to study dentistry. Amina, my older sister, will most likely be married and have a child by that time. Graduating from UT and enrolling in dental school to obtain my license and practice as a dentist, with the aim of eventually opening my own practice. That's all I've got for today. I'm going to take care of myself and remember, "WE CAN DO THIS." LOVE “FUTURE YOU”
