Dear FutureMe,
Dear Future Self,
I am writing to you from the year 2021, I am a senior in high school. Coming the last weeks of my senior year, I am starting to get ready to join the navy. There are a few setbacks though, but I am working through them. I hope when I am reading this that I have achieved my current long term goals of becoming an active duty Navy Seal. I am struggling with waking up early, but it is getting better each day. I have started to swim again, but my running is a working progress. After my knee injury it has been difficult to get back on the track, but I have been working hard. There is much more pain to endure, but with an open and determined mind no obstacle is too large to overcome. At this time I am best friends with Logan, Wyatt, Jude, Coffee and Cade. I hope you are still in contact with them because they are and will always be your Kingwood Park Panthers. Coach Showers is my coach for life as he says which really means a lot to me, because I have never done anything to him, and all he did was shower me with motivation and compassion. He has guided me through some of the dark times I have gone through and always been there for me. Continue fighting Jack there is nothing you can’t do, and the word CAN’t should never be in your vocabulary. After you read this make sure to give a call to your Mom and dad because you never know how long you will be with them and they are truly my number one supporters. Your mom and dad have never left your side even after all the arguments and hard times y’all went through. Mom taught me everything there is to know about risk assessment and knowing right from wrong, and dad continues to show you what it means to be a true gentleman. If you are ever half the man he is you are doing something right. Last I want to talk about Cameron from the day I met her she has done nothing but support me even after I completely betrayed her. She was always there for me, and showed that anything is possible with love and compassion. She taught me what it means to love and you always owe that to her.
Sincerely,
Jack Mikuta
