Dear Future 21 Year Old Leslie,
Uhm hello??? You’re 21 and alcohol-legal!
Right now you’re just about crying over Zjef. I’m wondering where you got to with him. I am low-key hoping you got married to him. And had a bunch of babies. Somehow, somewhere within me, there is hope for us. But I’m 16 years old and who in the hell knows what is going to happen by the time I’m 21.
I will be about done with university, and with an extravagant career that makes me happy. I also believe I will be a hot shot author that heartbreaks has paid off. Amen to that book one day.
also i normally type like this, but ****, these future people gotta see me all profesh.
Anyways, keep loving with all your heart and purely. You’ll be okay even if you do not end up with Zjef. Maybe, as Gaby said, he was just an example from the universe of how someone is supposed to make you happy and treat you.
Thank you Zjef, for showing me that type of love I was looking for so long. I will forever be grateful and never forget you. One day I will meet you in Europe.
Most of all, thank you future Leslie, as I believe you are going to keep doing great things and staying true to yourself. You’re lucky to be you.
So keep living life to the song, “The Night is Still Young”
Keep staying by your closest friends’ side and keep by Estela. Keep laughing the most with her and have the most wonderful vacations with her. Embrace yourself but stay cautious!! Mwah
Sincerely, teenage Leslie, hoping it all gets better. (I know it will)
