A letter from May 3rd, 2021

Dear FutureMe, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! It’s 2026? That seems so far away what!,!:!/?2&:)&/ But by the time this letter reaches you, we’d be 20. HOLY ****. As far as I’m concerned we’d graduate a 4y course on college by the time we’re 21 so I’m excited for you. Although I do not understand how college works AT ALL AJDHSJGSJA. Even if you just keep a journal or anything, please write. I know I love to do it but I lack motivation at times, so I really really hope that you have enough motivation to push through. I also wish that you’re happy, thats all I want for us right now. I hope you’re not being to hard on yourself. When this letter gets delivered it’d be the summer before senior year? For now, I have no idea what course we should take but I believe you made the right choice, whatever it may be. Hmm, I don’t know what to put so I’d ask you some questions, try to answer them so we’ll see what changed through out the days.. Ice cream.. what’s your favorite flavor? Mine is coffee crumble but that ferrero rocher gelato holds a special place in my heart <3 Do you remember that? The ice cream booth in SM near Shakey’s, it’s called Giardino Gelato.. I think. Hmm next, how do you identify? I identify as queer, I’m a bit bicurious but female lean, idk about you now but I don't have set pronouns either, 14 y/o you is very indecisive. What strand and course did you take? For now I’m set on taking STEM for my senior high strand and Aviation for college. Although deep inside I know I’d be happy being an actress or model or something, maybe even an idol. But I don’t think I’d be one, and besides, dad says he doesn’t believe that “the arts” is a real career path.. Where do you live? I’ve been telling mom and dad that I wanted to live in NYC when I get older. I love busy mornings, do you? Hmm, I really wonder how things are with Reese. For now, they’d probably be living in Japan? They told me they have a scholarship there.. Also how’s it going with your love life? Any gfs or bfs with interesting meet cute? HAGSAHHS I also wonder how your highschool friends are doing.. Highschool is really weird... And i’m really sad I didn’t get to experience prom :( What else... OH OH OH HAVE YOU GONE TO THERAPY DOES IT WORK PLEASE I REALLY WANT TO GO BUT I DONT KNOW HOW TO TELL OUR PARENTS TO TAKE ME ㅠㅠ What languages do you speak? I wonder if uou learned any new language or maybe even ASL?? I have a lot of hopes for the future, I have no idea what will happen but I hope you’re doing well.. I hope you’re happy, I hope you’ve healed. Whenever I’m sad I always wonder if “younger me” is proud of who I am today. I just want to reassure you that, I’m proud! I’m proud that you’re still here to read this letter, I’m proud because I know you go through a lot of rough patches so I hope this letter comforts you.
