Time Travelled — over 4 years

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, Hey 21 year-old Brynleigh! How’s life going? As 16 year-old me, I imagine you’re currently in college (hopefully Baylor or somewhere similar) getting a bachelor in neuroscience or human biology or even biochemistry. I hope you have a better idea on how to date! It’s been a week since my first date with Caleb, which did not go the greatest. He only talked to Reese the entire night and was super awkward. Oh, and remember how he ate the wasabi-filled “sushi?” He was crying for a whole 5 minutes! Despite the date being as bad as it seemed, he asked my on another date with a poem! Brynleigh, This may be gutsy, And maybe you'll forsee But I can guarantee You'll be filled with jubilee You're the only nominee, will you go on a date with me? Hopefully you date some guys you actually like! Anyway, I’m hoping your love for the medical field hasn’t died. I can’t imagine doing anything else but helping people and saving their lives. I imagine you’ll take the MCAT soon, and I hope you do well! And if my YouTube adds had a say, use the Princeton Review! (Haha) However, if your heart leads you somewhere else, go for it! How about kids and a family? You close to that, or does it seem far away? What I am thinking is that you’ll get married at about 26-ish and have kids during your later residency years. Although, you never know! Bailey McKnight just got engaged to Asa a few weeks ago at 21. I could never imagine getting married that early in life, but it seems it a relatively normal thing. That’s how old Mom was when she married dad. I’m planning on having two kids, preferably one girl and one boy. I would like the girl to be older, because I want the young boy to look up to her. I like the names April and Dean. Reagan hates the name Dean, but I really like it! My opinions may change however. After all, that’s over 10 years away! I hope your relationships with mom and dad are better. I’m really hoping that things get better when you’re not mallee by their rules and demands. I hope you stay close to Reagan. She would be 18 by now and in her Senior year of high school. I think she’s go to American Fork, but the boundaries are so close to the house, things could change. So, did you go into medical assisting or surgical tech? The surgical tech makes it hard to get into Baylor the way I want to, since I’d have to stay with SLCC until that December. How did buying a car work out? I recently got my license and I’m planning on getting a job after the AP European History test (by the way, how did you do? I assume I didn’t get a 4 but anything can happen) Did YIU but a Jetta or Civic like you wanted? And do you still have it? I hope so, I don’t want to worry about cars when I am in college or medical school. How is your relationship with the Church? I want to whoever but things haven’t been the greatest. It seems like a chore to go lately, especially with my realization with the fact that I may not be straight. I wish I wasn’t like this, but the people I have told seem to love and support me anyway! Olivia, Tonya, Ademi, and Nickie have given me so much support and love! Also, did you ever tell mom and dad? Or even Reagan? I hope you tell Reagan eventually but I don’t mind if I wait longer to tell Mom and Dad, since they might not see it the way that others would. Well, good luck in life! I hope you see this and smile at your naïveté younger self! Remember, I believe in you and anything you end up doing! No matter where life takes you, you got this! Love you lots! Happy 21st Birthday! (Hehe you can technically drink now) Love, Brynleigh Love Wednesday, April 28, 2021
