Dear FutureMe,
currently i'm 11 years old, sitting at a desk listening to backyard boy by claire rosinkranz in the middle of a pandemic. i just sent a letter to myself in one year. this letter isn't going to be nearly as long because i don't have a whole lot of time and, quite frankly, am getting a bit bored.
tomorrow kaius turns 9. for you, he's turning 14. for you, it's 2026 for you. i can't believe that. are you learning to drive? is it going well? how's high school?
are you still friends with gavin? if so, it's your twelfth friend anniversary. if not, i hope you have other great friends.
you'll probably be getting another letter today too. i plan on making on every year for me in a year. does that make sense? maybe. can you make one for yourself in a year today too? and one for yourself in five years? i want to keep this going.
i guess the only other thing i want to tell you is that you matter, and that you are always worth it. you are not ugly, you are not stupid, your feelings matter. stand up for yourself and others. live your life.
