A letter from Apr 28th, 2021

Dear Future Mark, How's Strider doing? Older and wiser? He's already a great dog at a year old, so I imagine he is even better. In a house yet? The housing market is crazy right now. It is becoming more expensive than I can earn a down payment. I love my job, so switching careers to something more lucrative is not an option right now. I just barely bought a 2014 4Runner. It's the first car that I could take the time to shop around and get. I also paid cash on this one. I know it takes away from my down payment goals, but it has allowed me to get something that I own outright. No car payment! Remember that you are a beautiful and amazing person. You are important to me and so many other people. I hope that you have continued to overcome your shame and other struggles to be a more well-rounded and emotionally resilient person. I love YOU.
