Dear FutureMe, I’m sorry about the last letter I sent. I wanted to say hi. I hope you’re happy, because I can’t help but want to be you. Older, weirder, different. A guy. I want to be a guy. I’m not yet, though. Just a girl. I’m a girl with a clock in her eyes, counting the seconds until she can become you. I feel trapped, sometimes, in these seconds that I’m counting, like I’m hiding myself. Maybe you still feel like you’re hiding yourself, too. Please don’t. I can’t say I love you, because I don’t.
