Dear FutureMe, Today is NCT’s fifth anniversary. By the time you receive this, it’s their 10th anniversary and hopefully they’re still together (speaking of which, how’s Super Junior lol) April 9th, 2016, we were introduced to NCT via The 7th Sense (does it still hit 10 years later??) and there’s really been no going back. I have ulted them since debut (I was 12) and I don’t ever see myself not caring about them like I might stop listening to them (or kpop as a whole) but I will always remember them and the time I spent watching them grow♥️✨. How many members are there now? Did anyone leave :(? Did any serious scandal/controversy happen? Tell me the boys are in relationships cause they deserve the chance to be in love and to be happy? Are they still popular? What was their next major hit song? Did NCT 2022,2024,2026 happen and if so, how was it- did any live up to NCT 2018 aka loml? What is each of them up to, especially Ten (girl remember when you were practically head over heels for the guy, from 2016-2018? I mean he’s still your bias but now you’re 17 and mature haha) I guess I care a lot since kpop groups tend to have ‘expiry dates’ like western stars can be in the industry 20 years and they’re still on top but it’s different with kpop. Anyways... THE MUSIC BOOK. YOUR 5-7 PAGES GOING ON AND ON ABOUT NCT💀 PLEASE STILL HAVE THE BOOK AND IF SO GO READ THE CRINGE TO REMIND YOURSELF THE DETAILS OF THEIR DISCOGRAPHY AND WHY YOU LOVE THEM SO MUCH I was really anticipating writing this letter the most- just a little way I can celebrate and be hopeful for the future. Before I leave, I’ll just write some highlights from the last 5 years 1. Fire truck and limitless styling. PTSD is real guys. On that note, Cherry bomb and kick it were their best styling era 2. MFAL being the best dream title track (just realized dream will be like 26-27 then, really grew up with them huh) 3. NCT 2018- yestoday being the under appreciated masterpiece, BLACK ON BLACK, Neo got my back (you still have your Spotify playlist?), you watching Go live (still dying), uKraInE 4. REGULARR 5. Intro to Hendery and YangYang 6. WayV 7. NCT 127 1st world tour 9. The start of their ‘****** songs’ era (pls I hate it) 10. Did Markhyuck ever explain their 2017 fight? THE PICS STILL SENDS💀😭 11. NCT 2020- Hoe anthem: MAW. 90s love is still the best title track from the era, misfit is in 2nd place 12. Finally, Resonace sold 1.5 million albums recently 💅🏾 P.S. 2026 will be 8 years since SMTOWN LIVE IN DUBAI (go down that memory lane if you haven’t already) and hopefully I’ve been to more concerts since then but regardless, it remains the best one.
