A letter from April 7th, 2021

Time Travelled — almost 5 years

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, I hope you remember who you are. Do not forget the dreams you had when you are little. You were always told you could be someone great, so eventually you believed it. You had a fire in your eyes and you did everything with a purpose. I hope you still have a burning passion for life and all that it holds. I hope that you can look back and be proud of what you have done. I hope that you took all the chances you had and that you can look back and say "I did it all". I wonder if you ended up studying in the Netherlands. Are my dreams of running my own hotel and a cafe finally coming true or did you lose focus of those goals. I truly hope that you are working hard to make them happen because I don't want to look back on life and realise that I never did what I truly wanted. You could change the world. Seriously, do not lose sight of these dreams you had all those years ago when I wrote this letter. I hope that by this time I have visited Australia again and made peace with the people i left behind. Most importantly, I hope you have gotten the guts to fight for what you believe in. Fight for a better future which is more sustainable. I hope you are still vegetarian because it is so much better for you and the planet. I hope you finally became more healthy. I hope you are chasing your dreams. I hope you are doing what you love. I hope you are working harder than anyone else in the room. I hope you have taken risks and done the things that scare you the most. I hope you have removed all the toxic people from your life. And most importantly, I hope you are happy. I have used so many "I Hope's" in this letter, so I once again hope that you realise how much of my future lies upon all these wishes. I pray for these wishes and goals to turn into my reality. You are so much more capable than you think you are. From, 16 year old me
