A letter from April 1st, 2021

Dear FutureMe, Hi, has the apocalypse happened yet or did the people in charge finally do something about climate change? I'm hoping that you're alright and that you made it to college? Did you get a degree? A job? A girlfriend? You better have. I'm impatient after waiting in the closet so long. I'm depressed and in bed. I got my vaccine and I'm tired. Please tell me you're not in a hazmat suit while reading this. Well I have some things I want to know about. In 5 years, when I'm 22, I will I have gone touring Southern Asia? Did we become fluent in German, Spanish and French? Do our parents still talk to us? Did I ever finish writing that book? Are you married? Can we control the weather? Did our hometown become a metropolis thanks to space x? And are you happy? Did it work out? I hope you are because I never thought we'd make it this far. Love, Your 17 year old self
