Dear FutureMe,
It seems as yesterday you were still in High School with your peers. It's now 2021 and we have seen many things as we are living through this COVID-19 Pandemic. People have sadly lost their lives due to this virus. People have been fighting for social justice. Racism rising causing terror among many people because of their beliefs, culture, and skin color. Women standing up and speaking out about the injustices they have received. Injustices all around the world. It seems as if every month there is something new that makes 2021 year worst. But I hope you stay strong. Please be strong future me.
I hope with all my heart that the future me has a classroom and is teaching. Please make sure to implement social justice during class. Remember to show and help your students learn about society and the inequalities. By teaching them how to be equal and be kind to their peers. Future me I am sure but even so, I hope that you mainly, inform and help children to be an ally towards their peers to fight against inequality. By implementing activities that will introduce students to how social justice has fought and continues fighting for equality. As you are talking about social justice make sure to make and provide a friendly safe space for everyone to have a voice and thought. I very much hope you will guide them and allow each one of the students to learn more and continue to be kind and offer a helping hand to those who do not have a voice. Make sure to listen to everyone and make their voice count. As you are teaching make sure to continue fighting for your beliefs make sure to always provide as many resources, materials, and kindness to your students. There are so many things that the school should provide to students so please make sure to be their change and continue educating.
