A letter from March 17th, 2021

Time Travelling — almost 5 years

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, I am currently writing this letter as a health assignment, whether you remember or not is not important but what is, is the pandemic. The time I am writing is the day we began our hybrid learning, students returned to school and likely covid will spread but only time will tell. At the start of this all we had believed it was for the best interest of the world. Covid would cut down the imbeciles of society and reshape the world of which we live in. BUT, the more we live with it, the more normal it feels. Although we did not see this as a bad thing, being naturally introverted that is. It was calling from the heavens to let me rest in my house every day no longer suffering... Well, maybe not entirely. During this time you faced many struggles, depression worsened, you became suicidal, you began to fail classes. Life was not fair to you that year, you lost touch with friends yet again. But this was not all that happened, you made many online friends whether they are seen as real or not, maybe you have met some by now. At this point Iḿ just rambling on and on but who even knows if we will still be alive the time you receive this letter. Oh well, and farewell future self. Sincerely, Your 16 year old self
