Time Travelled — almost 5 years

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, Today is your first day of you 31st year in the world. I expected absolutely nothing... this time last year, on my birth day the country shutdown to COVID-19. I left work in hopes of finding one last pub to have a pint in. I ended up with a renegade rascal gals & fancy Dan at 4 o’clock in a candlelit grand social beside ha’penny bridge. I was a day where I felt anxie, I was rushing and it was as if time was escaping me. I rushed to a surf trip and felt as if the world was coming to a stop. My birthday gig was cancelled. Every plan, evaporated instantly. And all so quickly!! So as this birthday came round, the anniversary of the start of these domino lockdowns, uncertainty, everything that we knew, restricted, the limbo of lockdown as I call it. don’t get me wrong, we were all asking for a hit on the pause button of this entire planet. And everything did, some places more than others, but here in Ireland well... We are currently in month 3 of a 5km radius restriction, and they are very serious. I mean I’ve broken it, but just a little and with a lot cautions, it’s been grim, however it’s been good for the soul. I’ve really enjoyed this time regardless of the contradict of the occasional memory or feeling. So I expected nothing, and was grand about it. Completely accepted it. But, then, yesterday, I had one of the best birthdays of my life, everything was just kinda happening to me! 🤣 I took a Xanax the night before and had a whisky to sleep in cause that was the most exciting plan. And I just wanted to really deeply clock out. I woke up at 11.30, smile on face and slightly spacey. Slowly and presently I made my moka pot, practiced yoga with the smell of coffee, the sunlight shining. Lush, we all met at shells at 1 chits chats and somehow I ended up taking ele and Leanne to town so they could go on a town adventure, LOL I had to go to my mechanic to get some green, and they ended up coming and then we got to the cheese and wine adventure, haha madnesss. Got home we had expensive cheese and Spanish wine and port, absolutely grandious 🤣they left and Elaina & teressa also passed by! The rest of the evening constituted of a pint of Guinness and cards against humanity and an Indian takeout! Laura & Stuart, bob even joined which really made it extraordinary (its not one to socialise!) Prosecco and then if it couldn’t get better, a chocolate Guinness cake! Dream! And here I am the day later, listing to the villagers, with heat for the glowing coal, eating rice pudding and jam, day one of 31, pretty, very gobsmaked of how lucky I am for this life, especially in this point of time. Blessed. I hope that where ever you are now. If you are not feeling what you feel today, or better yet, then change something. Because life will be what you create, what you’ve created some far is dumbfounding but, remember that this means you can make dreams real. It can only get better! You’ve done everything you’ve put your mind to!! I hope you realized that you can make that cafe happen, catch that wave and hang ten! Build that van! Sing and play that Ike like a pro! 🤣oh & Did you find that man? Live for you! work for yourself and not some multi international. If you still on that treadmill get off! 🤞🏻 Don’t let a number define how big you dream! I love you so much and you deserve the world. I genuinely have no idea where you will be the day you read this.. but Go get them!! Make the unmade! Happy 36th Jen
