A letter from March 12th, 2021

Dear FutureMe, I don't really know what you're doing right now at this very moment. Hopefully, you're celebrating your birthday with the ones you love and deeply care about. I'm imagining you by yourself having already finished college and on your own living new experiences. Funny because I haven't even finished the first year! When thinking I'm writing to me being 24 year-old adult honestly scares me. Time is the one of the few things in this world that we cannot control. It's the most precious thing in our life. And it can get out of our hands in seconds. My 19 year old, pictures you as an independent and strong woman who is unafraid of speaking her mind and unravels her thoughts without hesitation. For your sake, I cherish that you're a grown *** woman who has matured and knows how to value herself and what she's truly capable of. Also, I'd like to think you might have found a soulmate (oops perhaps this was too much), or maybe just a person with who you can share each other's lives and have long deep conversations. Right now, I don't have experience on this topic whatsoever, but I imagine you'll be a little bit more experienced by now hehe :D, but if not, it's fine!!!!!!! There's nothing that would make me happier than knowing you're still in touch with your school friends and university friends. There's nothing more valuable than a blossom friendship with someone who understands you and listens to your concerns and viceversa. You will probably have new friends, that right now I don't know their names or can recognize their faces. It's funny that at this moment I just can wonder about what you'll have experienced by 2026, many ups and downs, I guess. It baffles me just by imagining how wise you must be. Even if you've had many awful and dreadful moments, just know that I believe in you. .... So if you're going through a rough time, just remember that your 19 year old self fully supports you and hopes to give you strength in whatever difficult situation you're going through. I know that you can achieve anything you wish to, or at least do everything always with passion and giving 100% of yourself. And on a last note... You're better than you think you are. You're not a waste of time and you deserve everything good that comes to your life. Always, always follow what fulfills you and be as authentic as you can. I hope you know that :) I love you, even when you couldn't. 19 year old me. 12-13/3/2021
