A letter from March 8th, 2021

Dear FutureMe, Falling in love is like giving someone a loaded *** pointing to your heart and trusting them not to pull the trigger. I turned out liking him more than I originally planned and now my heart races when I see him, yeah  I know that he doesn't see me the way I see him and my heart keeps on telling me maybe someday he will and I know he doesn't. I try my best not to think about him but at the end of the day he's all I think of. He's not perfect but he is all I really want, technically I'm single but my heart is taken by him. And I keep asking myself why. I'm gonna be ok mentally as long as he stays single.  Letting go is hard because it means that you need to free yourself from some aspects of your past. Things that have become a part of yourself – of what makes you who you are today. Most people understand this as getting rid of that 'thing' resulting to a change in who you are. You can find letting go to be scary.  Dear raheem, I love you a lot and I think about you all the time, I pray to God that you'll love me back someday
