A letter from March 6th, 2021

OPEN THIS 5 YEARS FROM NOW Dear FutureMe, I have no idea how to start this. Okay so it's Saturday and the date is 6/03/21. Covid is still going on for a little more than a year. You currently speak portuguese, english and you are still learning italian. You go to a school in Pantigliate. Now united is your favourite music group. There are currently 17 members and we're waiting for the 18th and they are currently in LA after coming back from Cancun, Mexico. They have 6,98million subscribers on youtube and 6,4million followers on Instagram and their last released song was all around the world. You are currently really into k pop too and you have learnt a lot of choreos like pretty savage, lovesick girls, dun dun dun, I can't stop me, ice cream and others. On monday you have a history interrogation about WW1 and you are so frickin nervous. We have online classes since Friday and it's supposed to continue like this till the 14th. You're favourite song at the moment is probably wannabe (itzy) or I can't stop me (twice). You're living with Jacqueline and mum still hasn't found work (she works some Saturdays tho). Your favourite hobbies are reading, dancing and singing. You have been really stressed and sad lately but you try your best to hide it. Reading helps me escape from the real world. You chose your topic for the end-of-year exam and it's Brazil! (Surprise shawty) when talking to someone I normally use: 👁👄👁,🤚😭🤚😔🤚🙄😏✨✍🤺 and stuff like that. You have caught yourself thinking of dying a few times which really breaks my heart but then you remember that things are gonna get better. I really wanna cry while typing this. Next year I'm gonna go to year 9 and we choose tourism school. I'm gonna learn spanish and german there and I really hope that when you read this we have already learnt german or at least spanish. You love watching k drama too, and you are currently watching record of youth but you stopped because it's getting boring. You're also rewatching teen wolf and you're in season 2 episode 7. You don't have a best friend sadly but you have yourself which is the only thing that matters. You're favourite book currently is probably "minha vida fora de serie" or "o silencio das aguas". I am OBSESSED with Dylan o'Brien and Miraculous and my fyp is all about miraculous ladybug. I just realised that the next time I read this I'm gonna be 17. Did I fall in love? Did I visit South Korea? What did I do on my 15th birthday? Have I seen my primary friends again? Did I go to Japan? Have I met now united in person? (Probs not but dreaming is free) Do I already work? Have I planned my future? OMG MY SISTERS ARE GONNA BE 29 AND 28 EEEWWWW. Has Laleska had a baby yet? How is her pizza place going? How is grandma and grandpa? How is everyone? THERE ARE SO MANY QUESTIONS. I can not imagine my 17 year old self. Am I at least pretty🤚🙄? Because if I'm not, imma throw hands.
