Time Travelled — almost 5 years

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, Letter to me in 5 years Dear Teagan hope you are well; it is Teagan from 5 years ago by now you will be 22. I do not know much about you even though we are the same person things must have changed. I am sitting in the odyssey classroom where you spent 3 months of your life so far and another two to go , this for you know will just be a memory do you remember your time in rehab has it helped you along your journey. I wonder where you will be reading this Dunedin. Christchurch? Or somewhere completely different. The Teagan I am now at 17 years I have a rough idea of what I want to do with my life , I want to be sober I want to save money for a house. I want to be working somewhere I love; I want connection and new friends. I want to go to LSV and potentially work in the army we did not think like this before we came to rehab; we did not know what we wanted to do or what our life would be like by now. I hope you have achieved all these goals. 5 years is such a long time I do not know what you will be doing. I hope you have put it the hard work to achieve them while I am still in rehab. I hope you are a person I can look up to. How is the family is everyone okay how are all your siblings is your cat still with you. Did you end up studying level 4 mental health or did life take you down another track. Are you still going to Na and AA did you get your 5-year chip! Have you helped any other young addicts in recovery did you do the 12 steps. Did you relapse at all? Do you have any new hobbies or been on any exciting adventures did you find love? And most importantly are you happy do you love yourself. Do u have improved goals if so what are they? I hope you have achieved everything you wanted you still have so much time to go enjoy life love every bit of it. From Teagan 5 years ago 5/03/2021
