A letter from March 1st, 2021

Dear Franco, Man 2026.. hope things are less weird at this point in time haha. For the world.. for us.. I stumbled upon this cool site - in which you can write a letter and have it delivered years in the future. I wrote a letter - well actually 2 to myself to reflect back on this time and I just figured I would send one to you as well. We are at a pretty rough point right now - we are about to start our break. We haven’t seen each other in a month.. haven’t talked on the phone in over a week.. and we are about to totally stop texting in the next few days.. We are hoping some time apart can help us figure out what we both need and want, and whether there is a way we can find a future with each other. It’s crazy to think that when you read this in 5 years.. we either will be together or we won’t.. I hope and pray, as I type this that you’ll read it and open it with me by your side, and we will laugh and reflect on that rough patch we got through so many years ago.. but if for some sad reason, that isn’t the case.. I hope this email finds you so happy. I hope you have zero regrets and hope you are living the life you always wanted. I hope you are doing good, are loved, and cared for. I hope you’re in a job you love (man, how you hate yours now- but it’s gotta be better in the future) and that you are doing great things with your career. I hope you come home to a place you love. And if you aren’t coming home to me - I hope you’re coming home to someone.. but I sure hope it is me. I’ll be getting a letter to myself today too.. I hope we are reflecting on them together- I hope we finally understand why we had to go through what we went through all those years ago.. to get to the other side. This other side. This place. I love you so much - as I write this and I want nothing but answers that will lead to your happiness. I sure hope you got them. Jackie P.s.
