A letter from March 1st, 2021

Dear FutureMe, Today marks the day that you finally told your boss you wanted to resign from your job. The pandemic is still going on which means there are millions of people who are just wandering on this earth looking for a job. can you believe that? MILLIONS of people don't have security and have no stable income. Many would give anything to have a stable job right now but here you are leaving it. It seems tough especially since you're stubborn and you don't want to change your mind. But I hope everything will be alright soon and I made the right choice. I hope that after you do your last day in the company you still have the heart full of gratitude to look your bosses in the eye and thank them for the opportunity they have given you. I hope that even though there were days wherein you were filled with regret and disappointment you still choose to love. It's hard to love when you're in corporate isn't it? There's not much love circling around the water coolers and the cubicles. Everybody grumpy from their meetings and missing the deadlines. When life gets tough when you're on your solo journey always remember this: You did it out of love for yourself and there's nothing to be ashamed of. You did it out of LOVE which just means you stuck to your principles. You held your ground and you made it clear to them that you are a force to be reckoned with. You're no quitter when it comes to taking care of yourself and you've proven that today. You have become a fine woman of grace and kindness and you should never feel ashamed for following your heart. Speaking of your heart, how is she? From the time you're writing this it seems that she's still trying to heal from some heartbreak. Heal from the different loves of your life. You've been heartbroken by a boy you loved, you've been heartbroken by your family, heartbroken by yourself. She's aching now but I hope you know that she's stronger than you think. She's more confident, too. Your heart has been telling you to take advantage and make yourself more beautiful now which you've been doing. I'm sure you've made men fall in love with you because you know you are deserving of a good, honest kind of love from the people. You don't settle for cheap easy love anymore and you should be so so so proud of yourself. It aches a little right now but I hope that better things will come. I love you dearly future me.
