A letter from February 26th, 2021

Dear Future Sana, I hope you’re doing well, I’m currently writing this to you on the 25th of February 2021. I’m 18 years old right now and babysitting on Jonier so as you may know there will be a lot of interruptions during this letter. I work at Cafetaria Luxor the place where we went through it all. *******, breakups, loses, etc. I really like it here and I wonder if you still work there (I hope not haha). My hobbies are singing and online shopping. Do you still sing? And are you calmed down with spending money unnecessary? I really hope you moved out already because I still live at home obviously, with yemma, Mohamed and Sumaya. Sumaya is moving out soon! She’s getting married next month to Dogukan. Speaking of Dogukan Is your favourite food still börek? because mine definitely is. I’m a really good cook and I can sing very well if I say so myself. I’m also focused on making sweets like cakepops, magnumpops and cakes. I’m combining this hobby with school. Juridisch Administratief dienstverlener Summa College. To be honest with you it wasn’t my idea to write you this letter but it was an school assignment from the one and only English teacher Imren Gök. How is mommy doing? Is she still with us? My biggest fear is losing her. I can’t imagine my life without her. Everything went downhill after dad died.. are you coping with dads *****? Or are you still pushing your feelings away like I’m doing right now? I hope mom isn’t sick anymore so she can enjoy being a grandmother. Speaking of grandmothers Inaya is getting so big. If you read this letter she will be 5 years old. I really miss her and Assia, I hope that they have moved back to The Netherland by the time you read this. Are you still stressing over that one boy? GET OVER IT DUMBASS!! I’m sure you’re over him by now, if you even remember him, I’m sure you do. Maybe you’re even stressing about a different boy.. let me remind you that you don’t need a guy to see your worth! Value yourself and believe in yourself that’s something that I’m learning right now and I hope by the time you read this you have learned it. Value the time with your family and friends. My friend right now are Salma, Shaima and Kaoutar. They are my main ones, we have been through a lot. If you lost contact with them over the years contact them and ask them how they are doing just for old time sake. I really hope that you have your Havo diploma and that you finally know what you want with your life JAD OR HRM? Because I still don’t know. I hope that you are getting married soon and that you are happy. And even if you’re not married it doesn’t matter! Enjoy your life how it is. Don’t let anybody mess with your happiness and be the best version of yourself. You’re incredible and people are so blessed with you in their life.
