A letter from February 26th, 2021

Time Travelled — almost 5 years

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, Hey, uh, you're 18. I'm not sure if you'll ever actually receive this tbh. But its 2021, you're about 2 months away from graduating high school, and you're so excited. You have an amazing boyfriend. You love him so much. His name is Luke. You'll have to say goodbye when you leave for college which will be hard, but you're enjoying it now. I hope you're successful. Or at least financially stable enough to still be living in NYC. I hope politics are better (they won't be.) I hope the climate isn't even more doomed. I hope you're happy. I think you are. Not sure what else to say. I hope you have friends, friends that you can count on, old friends and new friends. I hope you still write, I hope you can sew and have been designing clothes, I hope you still paint, I hope you feel love. If you're lonely for some reason, remember what we've been through. Remember what you've escaped. I'm proud of you. I'm proud of me.
