I'm not sure how this letter finds you...
I hope it reaches you healthy and comfortable away from the burden you currently are facing with the living situation and the constant struggle of not realizing all the potential you once had. The hope (promise) of improvement. but rather then capitalize you retreated to fear. A coward to your past mistakes. Awake in the daydream you made.
Everything has to be so calculated these days. There is so much involved now. What you crave can't ever be again. You missed out. Stop thinking about it. Stop being a prisoner of your own demented twisted wish-it-was-me thoughts.
You are you because of what you didn't experience. And that's nothing bad. What you believe others had can't justify what you had. No need to compare.
Stop.
