Time Travelled — almost 5 years

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, I would like to think that I passed my uni degree and that I am finally in my dream career, as well as finally passing my practical car test and having a car. I would like to think I worked hard for my mortgage that I have dreamed of saving for and having since leaving school. I hope that by then COVID-19 has disappeared and we're all living a happy, healthy and normal life. In all fairness, this pandemic has been an eye opener, it makes you see the good and bad of people, and it makes you think how we have took everything for granted, the majority of us have been extremely lucky to live the life that we had. In the last year it had been so difficult for me, to the point I took a break from uni, but in September 2020, I never gave up, the break did me the world of good and I am now doing the degree I originally wanted to do. So far I am proud for not giving up when I was SO close to doing so. I have been so strong, and I hope that it pays off in the end. I am currently in the process of a prison officer job, and London Met, London Met has always been a dream of mine, especially to be a detective, or armed police. I wonder if I will actually pursue these opportunities? As rubbish as lockdown has been I have improved my fitness (been up and down with my weight, but that's understandable at this point 🤣). For example, I was training to get into the army last year and my 1.2 mile run was completed in 20 minutes. But now I can do it within 12-13 minutes which is a MASSIVE improvement! I am 22 now, I was trying to pass my theory since I was about 18, things always got in the way but in November I FINALLY passed, that was another great thing to come out of 2020 with Corona! Not sure what else to say... Regards, Present Hollie (2021)
