A letter from February 20th, 2021

Dear FutureMe, I hope you can forgive me. I hope u can forgive me for all the time I've spent being less happy than I could. I hope you can forgive me for all the time I've wasted alone in my room, unable to get out of my bed. I'm trying my hardest. I hope you can forgive me for not having the teenage experience that I was expecting. I hope you can forgive me for not being brave for so many years. I hope you can forgive me for being so confused and hopeless. I'm not totally hopeless though. The fact that you are reading this is a testament to the fact that I am still filled with enough hope to go on. And you have that hope too. I don't know what the future holds. Uncertainty assails me. Confusion too. I can remember what Iroh said though, "you can always see the light at the end of the tunnel, but if you keep going you will come to a better place". I believe in you. You are my hope.
