A letter from February 14th, 2021

Dear FutureMe, Right now, you don't know if the path you've taken will really be your future. It is kinda scary because I don't know what the future holds. You're turning 19 this year & you've gone thru so much already. I'm proud of the person who you've become. Continue chasing & reaching dreams. Make your family, friends, and most specially God proud. You will probably read this 5 years from now & I do hope you've already graduated from college. When you will look back to this day, you'll remember that you were writing this while feeding your brothers, sitting in a mono block chair while wearing a black shirt. I do hope you'll remember this moment that you've decided to write a letter because I know when you will read this it will give joy to your heart. Do you have plans in entering med school? Or are you going to be a nurse here in ph or abroad? Your 5 yrs younger self when you read this is scared of what future she have. I hope your everything goes according to your plan. I'm proud of you. And right now as I write this, I promise that in 5 years time, I do love myself more than anyone so that whenever people leave, they will not get a piece of me. I hope in the time that you'll prolly read this, you are already a nurse & soon to be a registered one. No matter what plans you will have always put in mind that it is God who is guiding your way thru it. I hope you've find the true meaning of happiness & love in yourself & not into other people. I hope the person that you've become now makes you proud. I hope you will never forget the reason why you chose this path — to help & heal people. I hope when you read this, you've already discovered the purpose that you've been looking for. I am so lucky to have this chance to write you a letter because not everyone has. I'm lucky to be here writing this letter & waiting for you to receive it. Time flies so fast & soon, after 5 years, this letter will be sent into your email & you wouldn't expect this? because maybe you've forgotten this already hahaha.
