A letter from February 11th, 2021

Dear FutureMe, Hi Maeve!! I’m not really sure what to write but reckon you’ll appreciate that I wrote something here. Today’s date is 11.2.21 and think you’ll get this in 5 years. I’m going to try my best over the next few years. Still don’t know whether I’ll do midwifery or medicine at uni... hope I make the right decision whatever it is. How’s Erin? And bolt and Craig and mum and dad? I’m so hoping they’re all ok and know I love them very much. I hope you got to have prom, bet the dress was amazing if so (please take lots of pics during prom). Do you have a girlfriend yet? I sure hope so because I miss being in a relationship (minus the stress of it). But if you’re not, that’s ok. I hope you’re happy. But if you’re not their either that’s ok too- you’ll be closer to it than I am right now. I hope the anxiety is better, and that you don’t feel depressed sometimes. I’m so determined to get better, right now anxiety is driving me mad and I’m considering medication although I have a suspicion it won’t happen. I wonder if you can drive, and have a car- that would be cool, the freedom to go wherever you want whenever you want (within reason). If you do, go for a drive. Just go somewhere pretty and admire how beautiful life can be. I cry a lot right now, hope that you maybe don’t cry as often as I do, I’d also love to think that you learned to love yourself. I’ve only got myself in reality, so gotta make the most of it!;) Wow got a little cheesy there hahah. How’s the family? I hope everyone is well and that covid ******* 19 is gone lol! I’m in the third lockdown right now and haven’t been to school since last year. I’m scared of the future. Can’t actually picture myself as 21, a real adult! I’m going to make you so proud.
