Time Travelling — about 5 years

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, Happy Birthday! You turned 32 today and that’s amazing! I can’t even imagine what you’re doing. A lot can change in five years. Five years ago for me, we still lived in Tulelake in our childhood home and were getting plans in place to move to Austin. I wonder if you still live there? Don’t answer that, I want to find out for myself lol. Today is February 10, 2021. It’s cold out, Koi and Carl are sleeping on the couch, I’m still trying to put together a galaxy puzzle, Krummy’s is going to be home in about an hour and a half, and I really need to clean and start dinner but 🤷. It’s also day 2 of trump’s impeachment trial and I don’t think he’ll be convicted but here’s hoping! Today has been a very emotional day for me. I received an email that we wrote in 2020, during what was (and I hope still is) the worst time of our life. I remember lying in bed crying writing to a future that I wasn’t sure I was going to live to see but desperately hoped I would. Despite everything that was going on we had so much hope for ourselves. For what our life could become. For a future that we couldn’t even comprehend. And we did it! We survived! And I know that if we could survive that, I’m going to survive to become you. I’m so excited to be you. I hope our family and friends are there to celebrate with you. We couldn’t be together this year, you know cause of the pandemic, so have extra fun for me. Tell them you love them and that I love them too, we don’t do it enough. Anyways have fun today! I love you and I’ll see you in 5ish years! Love, You from 5 years ago ❤️
