A letter from February 8th, 2021

Dear Future TJ, How ya doin? I recon you're still being stupid. By now you're - what - 21? 22?? Old enough to drink?? (You'd better be responsible) I don't suppose we'll be out of Gulfport by now, but if we are that'd be cool. Are you still with Jon? I hope so. If things are tense, you'd better make it right, stupid. You love him, remember? Do something nice, regardless. Things are weird right now. Paul is in jail, but we have to move because he wants half the house. (it's in his name, unfortunately.) I hope things get better by the time you get this. And, in the case things aren't, try to remember that things get better. They have before- Remember that when we were younger we thought we'd be dead by 16. I'm 17 as I write this, having defied all the odds younger me thought. So I'm pretty sure same will apply to you - Mr. Adult. If you don't have a job yet, I think you should do that. It'd be in your best interest, after all. I'm excited to see where you'll end up. -Past TJ
