A letter from February 2nd, 2021

Hi Ethan, I hope you have a job by now. It's me, past Ethan coming to you live from our Wintersession 2021 class, EXP-FWD. tbh idk why we're doing this, cuz we could be having work time, but ya know what it's fine i guess. I hope that you've learned a lot from you're work and that you're ACTUALLY HAVING FUN! May this also be your reminder about grad school in case you forgot or feel like you need to stay in your job (or maybe it's been decided that grad school is not something to be interested in anymore! maybe you're a hotshot designer or something now HAHAHA LOL we can only hope). I obviously say this from the perspective of someone who is not yet financially independent (shoutout to mom and dad), but you need to make sure that you're happy and to also continue to challenge yourself to grow! I know that it's not ideal, and living comfortably is something I know we both want, but it's also really important to push yourself. I don't want to stay the way that I am—thinking about how I was in high school vs now is incredibly terrifying because jesus christ who was I it's disgusting to think about. I hope you'll think about me like that LOL HAHAHA jk maybe not but I do hope that you'll continue to change and become a better version of US. Anyway, that's all I can think of for now but here's to us and to the person we were, the person we are, and the person we'll be. XOXO *****, Ethan
