Dear FutureMe,
I am currently at the 8th grade and I’m 13 years old. “ It’s funny how time goes pass by this fast, it feels like yesterday when I wrote this letter” is probably something I’ll say when I receive this letter. However, the question no is “what will i be in 5 years from now?” Im gonna be honest, at this point in life I would say I don’t really know what I’ll be in 5 years, I’m still growing and nurturing. Which means a couple years from now I’d totally change my mind on something I decide now. But I know for a fact I’m 5 years I would wanna be....Noura’s trust, Na3ma’s honesty, Amina’s Kindness, Moza’s confidence, Fatima’s Smartness, in 5 years I would wanna be my Dad’s Sharp mind, My mom’s Smile, My teacher’s creativeness, My sister’s Determination, but most of all in 5 years I would wanna be my Best friend’s laugh! Right now I’m facing a hard time trying to find out my true self, and who I really am. Mostly people my age would feel the same, if they were to say they know who they will be in 5 years that wouldn’t be true, because I know for a fact we all don’t, as in this certain age we’re all confused if we’re kids or adults. On the other hand, I know for a fact when I grow I wanna do something to help my community to the better, I wanna be the change I wanna see in this country. Sometimes I thought about being a judge just like my dad, but I wanna do something more. Something like stopping water pollution and saving the animals. I wanna follow Sheikh Zayed’s footsteps ( May he Rest In Peace). He made the impossible possible and I’m gonna do the exact same. And I know I can make it happen if I keep trying. Hopefully I’ll be able to figure out ways to do that as I grow up. But a piece of advice to myself, don’t let anyone Define you as a person and tell what you can and can’t do for you to achieve your goals. For example, barrington Irving was the youngest person who flew solo around the world. However it seemed impossible to do because he didn’t have any money, not to mention his whole family didn’t support him either. Therefore, he achieved what he wanted by determination and trying. He for a fact inspired me a lot. Even though I said I don’t really know myself that well currently but I know for a fact that I speak the truth no matter what happens, I study and get good grades for myself, I always look on the positive side at any situation, and love myself for who i am not for who people want me to be. Most people assume I’m the most perfect human being but trust me it’s a matter of believing you are.
