A letter from January 27th, 2021

Dear FutureMe, You turned 32 yesterday. It was lockdown. Remember covid? Of course you do. I hate birthdays because of course I wanna celebrate but I never know what to do. I'd say you still think the same, ain't I right? Anyway, I would've liked to invite friends over but common sense told me not to. It's fine, everyone has their turn in covid-bdays... But Tiphaine insisted and offered to do something at hers tonight. That made me so happy I admit. A bit reticent about the virus but hoping it will be ok. Do you still talk to her? First tinder date ever which worked out to be such a surprising friendship. I care for her so much and we don't even know each other well. And I love that I can't say why. I just care for her. Anyway, hope you had a blast last night. You better have, to compensate these times of confinement... Take care you silly girl. Oh, and are you already living the shift I'm wanting to do with my life? It's going slow but c'mon, I wouldn't be honest with you if I didn't say it's a skin deep wish. S
