A letter from January 23rd, 2021

Dear FutureMe, To Future me, I have written one of these letters before and I hated it...I don’t think much has changed. I don’t like writing letters to myself, I never know what to say, and I turn out to never write the right things. Right now as a junior at Granbury high everyone asks what I would like to be when I grow up. I give them the answer they expect: “I want to go to a four year college and major in nursing.” Though in reality I have no idea what or who I want to be. I am hoping by now that you have a job, graduated college, and are doing what you love. Our world right now is still in chaos. We currently have a new president and the “virus” is still spreading around. Though the world on the outside is falling apart, my world inside my house is great. I’ve mostly got my bedroom set up (i’m just waiting for a new bookshelf). We’re in the process of painting my room along with Annabeth’s and the whole house. Are your parents still living in Decordova Ranch? Where are you currently living? Did you paint your room the green color you wanted? How old are you? I just turned 17! Right now you have many favorite things! You are really into the Neighborhood and you are buying so many candles. I really like the mahogany teakwood candle and the mahogany apple one! (lol both of those are draco candles) I think I have a few favorite movies: Little Women, Call Me By Your Name, Twilight, The Longest Ride, What Happened To Monday, Reign. You just started Poldark! I hope that it turns out to be a good show. I want to know if you have a huge library like you have always wanted! Do you still like to shop at Barnes & Noble? I know you have plenty of people in your life, how many of them do you still talk to? Right now as junior j is one of my best friends as well as journ! I hope that you still talk to them and haven’t lost contact! If you have please contact them. Journey is a wild and free spirit who will always push you out of your box. Jenna on the other hand is a great confidant. She has always been there for you in the past. She lets you rant about the books you are currently reading and the tv shows you watch. Jenna is a light in your life that you better not have lost. Did you ever travel Europe with Journey? I know that it was a far stretch but I hope it happened and that you made many good memories. Before I end this I have a few questions for future me- 1. How is Kirby, Anna, and Gwen ( do they have any new ones running around?) (also how is peter) 2. How is Annabeth? I am hoping that she is doing well and being very successful! By now she should be married, so do you like the guy? Does she have any babies? 3. How are you parents? Is mom still the sweetest person with a great fashion sense? And is your dad still being ornery? 4. How is my little baby doing? By now Genesis would be well over 14. I know you miss her like crazy she is the best dog I could ever ask for. Do you have any new Australian Shepherds, Great Danes, or German Shepherds? If so did you name them well? I’m hoping one of their names is Nyx, Nox, dakota, watson?!?! 5. How is Lora, Tony, and Arya. Are they still distant from the family? Overall I hope you are well, healthy, and successful!! xoxo, emma
