A letter from January 20th, 2021

Dear FutureMe, you're almost done with college, technically. It's 2026 this is so dystopian, that's what you just said. Today is the day you can enrol for college it is also the day of Biden's inauguration. I want to enrol, but I also don't want to because it will make it real. I also sincerely hope everything goes well at the inauguration given the recent events. Today you were upset because of a test that I hope you didn't fail. I am scared for the future. Even if I know you can handle it. You're much stronger that I am and that's what makes us who we are. Peter Parker like. I wonder what school you got in, and what master’s degree you are studying for. Did you move out yet ? And how was your semester abroad ? I wonder if your expectations of college were right, better, or worse. Is Netflix still cool, and you worthy ? If yes, no matter what people told and will tell you, you have to try and get in. It won't happen now, right out of college but maybe in a year or two. You know what let's be crazy. You have a wonderful project, you finally mastered that tricky language that we call Spanish, your Italian is stainless and Netflix loves it all. And you get the job of your dreams right out of college! I really hope that all of this is still topical otherwise this is all a moo point. Did you find love ? If, yes how is he ? What does he do ? Is he as weird as we are ? Does he like Marvel movies (the answer is obvious but just in case)? Do we still talk to ourselves ? Tell me something funny! How's Coraly ? Did you make new friends ? Are they nice ? They better be though, or I'll find my way to a time machine and hit you in the face. I hope you're well, and that mom is still there. If you're tired of college like I'm tired of high school just tell yourself that it is almost over. All this hard work is going to pay in a couple month when you'll get your degree and a wonderful job, and I'll graduate and a get good college. Even if we don't we'll be fine by a way or another.
