A letter from January 19th, 2021

Time Travelled — almost 5 years

Peaceful right?

How's the world going around you? Have you gone on the solo traveling you've always planned? :D just kidding, no pressure. While writing this letter I realized how much more difficult it is writing to your future self instead of your past. If I were to write to my past, younger self, I could write about all the insights I've gained over the years, tapi kalo ke masa depan tuh kayak banyak wishes yang I'm not even sure I could achieve and I don't really want to put this burden on you kalau ternyata beneran nggak kecapai hahaha I'm writing from January 19th, 2021, and the situation I'm currently in isn't so fun. Hopefully where you are right now things are much better. If not, I'm sure you've adjusted to it very well, you've always been quite good at finding the bright side, though it may take some breakdowns at first. I don't know if you've decided on your career, on whether to get married, to live on your own, to have children, take up new hobbies, to just screw everything and move to another country or who knows maybe nothing has changed in 5 years? but I believe whatever you have decided for your life is indeed what is best for you. No one knows you better than yourself. I just hope that you finally have found peace within yourself and therefore you're able to help others find theirs. Over the past 5 years you may have lost some loved ones as well, and from the documentary I (or you) just watched last week (or 5 years ago), you should remember that just because you can't see them, doesn't mean they're not there. They're always there. So just keep praying for them, and live your life with this little bird on your shoulder that asks "Is today the day?" (remember this line from the book you read 5 years ago? ;)) #rekindlehopeDLAFamily
