A letter from January 15th, 2021

1/14/2021 Dear Future Self, Yep, it’s me. Carlos, sophomore at Civic Leadership Academy. How have you been doing, future me? Are you alive? Dead? Happy or sad? Well lemme tell YOU how I’m doing right now. Basically, not really that great, but not so bad either. I mean, I got this cool gaming laptop from Christmas and it plays all the games I got. I’m still home everyday, and doing the same things everyday. Wake up, eat, and sleep. Unfortunately, I got not so great things either. I got this condition known as costochondritis, where I am getting panic attacks left and right as well as chest pain. The coronavirus is not over yet, but we are making attempts at vaccines. I am still interested in gaming as well as other game genres such as JRPGS. Hopefully you still like Persona. I’ve been talking to friends as well like Chris, Huan, Jose and Jhon. They’re doing fine, heck even better than me. Have you gotten a job yet? Or are you old enough for college? Still interested in my favorite careers like engineering, code programming and video game designers/programming? I wonder what you are doing… These current events have not been so great either. We recently had a riot outside the Capitol, where policies and rioters were storming in the building. **** they didn’t do jack **** preventings those “protesters” like the news call em, into entering and disrupting the building. Meanwhile in the past, we had the BLM protest going around, peacefully. Until the cops showed up and violated the movement. Then it went all chaotic and riots were occurring left to right. Some personal news is that we had lost some relatives and friends to COVID-19. Some hopeful news is that our aunt got a brand new puppy named Kuma. He’s adorable, I hope I can meet him once this pandemic is over. Now, cutting the crap, this is what I hope for future me. I hope I get my dream jobs like what I have stated before or actually move into a big house. What I also hope for is this pandemic to be finally over. This pandemic really ****** us. The deaths, how we learn, how we protect ourselves. It’s chaotic. Now if none of that happens, then I hope you got some way of making money like a part time job or something. I wonder if you will finally learn other languages, future me. I think I wrote a lot, usually I don’t write this much. Hopefully you received this letter, or at least not threw it out lol.
