A letter from January 10th, 2021

Dear FutureMe, I recently heard a vision technician tell me that my sight is way too diminished for my age. I've been worried since. I don't want to be blind and unable to read in the last stretch of my life. I would not want to live to be old. I can't imagine a love without books and writing. Please, may there be a cure. But if I take my love 5 because of that, what an I signaling my daughter about living with poor sight? Probably, and this is not the first time I think this, humans have kids to force us to live.
