A letter from January 2nd, 2021

Dear FutureMe, Hello from the year 2021! The last year was... bad, I don’t know how much you remember— if you’ve blocked it out, I don’t blame you. I got one of these from 2015 yesterday, which, honestly I’d forgotten I’d sent it. It’s funny; I talked about my hopes for the future and how sad I was, and now I’m here, 6 years later, hoping for the future to be better and feeling more sad than I really have any reason to. Things are hard, 2020 was a bad year— hell, 2015-2020 were a bad five years. But we have grown so much over these past five years, and I’m so proud of us. Several moves, a name change, so much has changed, but I’m so proud of us. I’m hoping things will be better, I’m hoping that you’ll be in a happier place, and I’m hoping you’ll be around to read this. I love 2015 me, and even if I don’t love 2021 me, I know I love 2026 me. Thank you.
