A letter from December 25th, 2020

Time Travelled — almost 5 years

Peaceful right?

Dear 18-year-old savanna, 2020 was a rough year for me. I got anxiety, my parents got divorced, went through my first breakup, had friends leave me, and much more. By the time you get this letter, you will be 18 and almost 19. I can't even imagine that. I hope that highschool was great. I also hope that you didn't let mom dictate your teenagehood. That's one of my biggest fears. I hope that you lived those years how I imagine them. Also, I know that you're going to find this cringey and you'll probably laugh but I really hope you are still with Easton. Yes, I know that most young relationships don't work out but I really hope that this one does. Please tell me that we had a glow up. I'm not saying that I don't love myself rn but if I don't glow up by the time you get this letter I'm quitting life. I'm guessing that in the past five years you've probably had some struggles but I know that we are strong and I know you are a great woman. I hope that we got into fitness a lot in the past five years so you can feel exactly how you want to. I hope that your bond with Courtney, Mia, and Mom gets better and I hope that Mom learns how to shut the hell up and listen, no offense. ****, I feel so young now that I'm writing this. Like, I know I am young but sometimes I forget that, and now I feel like a little kid haha. I hope that Ella and Kenz are still your best friends. They are the only two people I can see having no problems. I love them. They are going to be aunts to our kids okay. I hope that you are a singer. Please I'm praying for that. I can't see myself doing anything else. That all depends on what I do now. I'm going to start posting stuff a lot. I'm just scared. But I hope that's where you are right now. Livin' the dream. When you get done with this letter you should read it to some people. Idk who, but you should. I also hope you have blonde hair by then unless you wear wigs for performing. I hope that you have learned more about your anxiety and know how to handle it. Also, if you have a social media platform, use it to educate about racism, ******, and anything that needs to be educated. Make all the young boys and young girls look up to you. Wear what you want and say what you want. Love yourself. Really quick, put your phone or laptop or whatever down and go find that Believe in your Dreams journal that I used to write in and read it after this. Time for some questions 1. How old are you? 13 (2020) 2. What is your current status? OMS student (2020) 3. Did your dreams of being a singer come true? 4. Do you have a boyfriend? talking (2020) 5. What is your job? 6. Who are your bestfriends? Ella, Kenz (2020) 7. Happiness level? 4/10 (2020) 8.
