A letter from December 21st, 2020

Time Travelled — almost 5 years

Peaceful right?

dear future me, hii taybug!! today is december 20, 2020. as you know, covid-19 has ****** this year, and i hope covid isn’t a thing anymore in 5 years. you are currently seventeen, but in 5 years, you will be 22 reading this, on your birthday!! happy 22nd birthday old *****. i hope you are living it up in auburn with jace and bubba, if they are even around then. do you still feel the same way about jace? does he still feel the same about himself, or has he changed? are you still vaping and drinking? have you at least ventured out into the alcoholic world and tried new things?? i want to know!!! tay, right now at 17, you may think that there is no one out there for you, but promise me, five years after you’ve written this, you have matured, have a boyfriend (hehe) and almost have your nursing degree. you know how hard i’m trying to finish 11th grade just for you! :) has your mental health improved in the last 5 years? i just hope that it has because you won’t be under your moms wing all the time and you’ll have more freedom. i want you to know that when you read this, just know that sometimes, being lonely sucks, but just know that there is someone out there for you who will love and cherish you, and who will always keep you company. jace has done that very thing just for you these past couple of months since you met back up at your old job. i want you to know that you are amazing, and that time will tell. i hope that everyone that is close to you will still be alive and healthy, including nana and pawpaw. may god bless their hearts. taylor, you are so beautiful and i can’t wait for you to read this letter. i love you so much ♥️ xoxo - taybug
