Time Travelling — almost 6 years

Peaceful right?

Dear future me, I hope you remember throughout history, Caucasian, male landowners have had the easiest time voting and have never been discriminated against. You are a white male, you can help change the tide when you vote. You know that white males have had the least amount of problems with voting and being able to vote throughout history. This is proven because the law made in 1869 that states voting poles cannot deny a person of voting because of "race, color, or previous condition of servitude." Race plays a part in voting and being white has made it easier to vote but people who are African American have been discriminated against mainly by white males. We can confirm that by looking back on history and seeing that white males have had the most power. For instance, the first African American president was elected in 2008 that is over 200 years after the USA was founded and all of the previous presidents were white. the reasons I stated above have shown how easy it has been for white people to vote and how hard it has been for people of other races to vote, and why you need to vote for the best president you can. I hope you keep in mind who has been the most suppressed while voting, but if you don’t remember I will remind you that the African American people were not allowed to vote freely until 1870 when a law that I mentioned before this law was placed the people running the elections is some states would deny people there voting right because of "race, color, or previous condition of servitude." so I hope you vote for someone pure and clean of racism because before you vote you need to understand other peoples struggles and how your vote affects them. Why should you vote, I hope you remember why because I’ve been thinking, and even though I can’t vote you can. You have a powerful opportunity to change the world. Don’t even think about not voting you hold a precious power that a lot of people wish they had. Don’t through it away even if you don’t like who is running for office it doesn’t change the fact that if one person wins, someone corrupt, or has any sort of strong bais it could change how your world works. Compare it to the election of 2020 what would have happened if Trump won the election. The entire COVID pandemic could’ve ended up lasting for much longer if the way people voted and came to their senses about the pandemic. Imagine if the young people didn’t vote, it would have been a disaster and now you are in the same position so rise to the occasion. Well, I’ve been preparing, digging into my feelings and now I understand what party’s beliefs I agree with. But I think you should do some deep reflections on yourself. Understand what you want for our future and then refer to what you want and believe is right to the different parties in the election. Remember don’t do the easiest way out even if you feel overwhelmed take a deep breath and remember your inner beliefs. Remember that your decision affects others and be mindful of how many people don’t have the chance to vote and make the right decision. Sincerely, Past you
