A letter from December 18th, 2020

Time Travelled — almost 5 years

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, I hope you're happier now, and that things have worked out for you in terms of your education and career goals. You're a senior in high school right now, and nothing seems to be going well.. it's been a rough year. You might end up failing AP Calculus AB, but that's only because you didn't put any work in this semester. You've been depressed (or something) and dissociative lately, and your relationship with your parents is hanging on by a thread. You're trying to be kinder to yourself in 2021 and have decided that you want to work towards becoming a writer and living in NYC some day. I hope that you have been accepted to the IOWA MFA Program, or that you have at least found something that fulfills you. I hope that you have improved your work ethic (you better have, LOL) and have stopped being so neurotic. Life is hard. I hope that you've managed to stay strong through it all and have stayed true to your values. Remember that learning comes from failure, and that ups and downs, booms and busts are perfectly normal. This is getting too long, and it's almost 4 AM, so I'm going to end this now. I just pray you're doing OK xx. I love you P.S. Is the Timothee Chalamet obsession still going strong? I hope you've managed to tame your hormones.
